This is the blog of a twenty-something wife and mother as she explores her love of all things food. With a few minor mishaps and some noble attempts, join her as she tries to do it all with a 2 year old sous chef.

Meet Brianne, a born-and-bred New Yorker who has made her home to rural Pennsylania. After a degree in Criminal Justice and a long stint in the advertising world, she’s found herself (thanks in part to her wonderful husband!) back in school for education – driven by her love of children and learning. Enjoying motherhood more than words could express, Brianne and her (nearly) 2 year old daughter, Madeline, spend nearly 24 hours a day together playing, reading, and their favorite – cooking and baking.
In late 2009, Brianne helped found Cooking The Books, a Culinary/Literary blog with some friends from high school, good old SHA. Through these women, she’s found her love of cooking and with lots of love and support, has started this blog.
Special shoutouts to Marilla of Cupcake Rehab and Giulia Melucci, author of I Loved, I Lost, I Ate Spaghetti for showing me that you truly can be a success at something you really love, whether it’s reading, writing, cooking, baking, anything!
